Mumbai, Birmingham, March 11, 2024: Global pharma major Lupin Limited (Lupin) joined forces with Birmingham City University, UK (BCU) and hosted a convocation ceremony on March 9, 2024, honouring Indian healthcare professionals who completed the Master’s programme in Advancing Diabetes Care. This ground-breaking course is tailored to empower healthcare professionals with specialized skills and techniques to provide enhanced care for people living with diabetes.
Under the distinguished patronage of Mr. Harjinder Singh Kang, the British Deputy High Commissioner for West India, Professor Wasim Hanif, Medical Director for Advancing Diabetes Care, BCU and Mr. Rajeev Sibal, President – India Regions Formulations, Lupin, the ceremony attracted a gathering of eminent delegates and dignitaries from BCU. The Advancing Diabetes Care programme is an exclusive online course to further research and development, equipping healthcare professionals with a profound understanding of the intricacies associated with diabetes management. By fostering customized self-management practices, the programme empowers healthcare professionals, from GPs to pharmacists, to provide optimal patient care. Launched in 2020 as an academic partnership between Lupin and BCU, this initiative addresses the escalating prevalence of diabetes in India.
